The Cerimony
for the religious celebration I propose:
- ENTRY OF THE BRIDE: Wedding March (with the harp the one from the Lohengrin opera by R. Wagner is perfect).
- RITUAL AND EXCHANGE OF THE RINGS: Background that evocates a sweet but not invasive atmosphere and doesn't cover your words (prelude by J. S. Bach).
- OFFERTORY: An evocative piece by J. M. Laruelle.
- SIGN OF PEACE: XV sec. Dance.
- BENEDICTION OF THE BRIDEGROOM AND THE BRIDE: it is evocative, while the priest reads, to repeat the same piece played during the exchange of the promises.
- EUCARESTY: Ave Maria by Schubert. If you prefer it at the end of the celebration, for the eucaresty it is possible to choose from other beautiful pieces.
- SIGNS: Some pieces of classical music to entertain you even during the taking of the pictures.
and for the civil ceremony, the symbolic ceremony, the blessing in Italy:
The harp is perfect even in this occasion, with a repertory that comes especially from the evocative celtic music.
I usually suggest this musical moments:
- I start playing at the arrival of the first guests to entertain them while they wait.
- at the entry of the bride (or of the couple if they enter together) I play a "special" piece, someone asks me the Wedding March, but it is up to your preferences.
- then another piece when they declare you as husband and wife.
- then a background during the reading of the law codes, that otherwise could appear as too much "formal".
- and at the end, while you are making wishes and greetings, the music of the harp will still entertain you.
